Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program
Appointments are required for all services. To set an appointment for your dog or cat and for feral cats please call 210-655-1481. The spay/neuter surgeries take place Monday through Thursday and are performed at the Animal Defense League Clinic, located at 11215 Iota Dr., just around the corner from our Adoption Center. The prices are as follows: - Cats - $30
- Dogs under 25 pounds - $30
- Dogs between 25 and 50 pounds - $45
- Dogs between 51 and 100 pounds - $55
- Dogs over 100 pounds - $75
There is no need to qualify for our regular Low Cost spays/neuters performed at our Clinic. Families and individuals on government assistance can qualify for discounted spay/neuter procedures for their pets. Discounted services are only available to people who receive federal or state government assistance. For those who qualify, the spay/neuter fee is $25. Written proof of government assistance is required, along with a valid federal or state photo ID. All animals must weigh at least two pounds in order to undergo a surgical procedure. Services Available During Spay/Neuter Appointments - Rabies Vaccination (required): $5 (Written proof that your animal has had a rabies vaccination is required. If none is provided, the animal will be given the vaccination and the owner will be charged accordingly.)
